Again, we will consider the twin benefits of wisdom, which are also reflected in our reference passage today: preservation and safekeeping. In the typical life scenario, where no condition is said to be permanent, wisdom offers anyone who possesses it the stability that stands the test of time and the dynamism that makes them evolve with trends, thus remaining relevant, albeit in changing times.Wisdom avails those who operate by it the benefit of preservation. The word “preserve” gives an impression of freshness, security and functionality. Wisdom preserves those who possess it by insulating them from pollution in whatever form, such that they can function with fresh vigor at all times. The preservation power of wisdom also prevents the depletion of resources. On the safekeeping front, wisdom keeps you from evil. Running your decisions and conduct through the metrics of wisdom will guard you from making the wrong call or going against the grain. Wisdom thus keeps you from danger, humiliation, embarrassment and other undesirable consequences that arise from an error in judgement. Wisdom helps you to kick off on the right footing and maintain a successful run of anything. Not that you won’t make mistakes – there is no mortal who does not; but wisdom de-risks you in a way, such that your mistakes do not prove terminal, but become a learning point for you in the process of becoming. Those who do not possess or operate by wisdom are doomed to struggles and failings. They may not last long either. When all else has fallen by the side or become extinct, only the ones created and run by wisdom will stand and survive the test of time. You will succeed in Jesus Name! Also read:Get wisdom!
