Wisdom gives you an informed mouth. The passage above says that it helps your lips to express what you have learned. In other words, it gives you the privilege of expression. It is not everyone who can boast of that, and not everyone who expresses him/herself does so in a wise manner.
Another benefit of wisdom, as seen in our reference scripture today, is unfettered freedom and surefootedness. These are very important benefits for anyone to have.
God says you must first treasure wisdom to activate its greatness potential. We know how we seek and handle what we consider articles of great value, the inconveniences we subject ourselves to get them, and how we fawn over them once we lay hold of them, ensuring they are well-maintained and secured
The benefit of wisdom, we shall consider today, is promotion. We have already discussed the primacy of wisdom compared to all other acquisitions. That fact is further buttressed in our reference scripture today, as the Bible maintains that wisdom is ‘the principal thing’ that we all should accord a priority in getting.
On the safekeeping front, wisdom keeps you from evil. Running your decisions and conduct through the metrics of wisdom will guard you from making the wrong call or going against the grain. Wisdom thus keeps you from danger, humiliation, embarrassment and other undesirable consequences that arise from an error in judgement.
The benefit of wisdom for our meditation today is the pioneer spirit or abilities it avails those who have it. Wisdom helps one to start an entity or pioneer an initiative into a reality that was hitherto nonexistent. Wisdom can make you a pioneer or a founder.
