Today is the part 5 of our meditation on Psalm 1 in the form of a businessperson.

Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.Psalm 1:1-3

The Psalm 1 businessperson does not just delight in exposing himself/herself to the word and counsel of God, he/she also makes it a duty to meditate on the word of God and the counsel He has given. He/she hits every working day by ruminating on what the LORD has said in the Holy Bible, thus availing himself/herself a useful guide with which to navigate the affairs of life and business for each day, as well as having an appraisal system through which he/she measures the success and other concerns of each day in the night.

In other words, the Psalm 1 businessperson is devoted to the word of God and is fanatic about His counsel. That is the reason he/she meditates on God’s word day and night. The word thus becoming the light with which he/she sees and the lamp that offers direction to his footsteps – business decisions.

By doing all these, such person positions himself/herself for divine attention and patronage. That is why the Bible says he/she will “be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.”

That can be your testimony too.

You will succeed in Jesus’ Name!
