In continuation of our meditation on the coming of Jesus Christ to earth to destroy the works of the devil, it is pertinent to note two things: firstly, there is nothing excluded among the devil’s works that Jesus came to destroy. He came to fix them all with no exception.
…For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. – 1 John 3:8 Here is another reason that Jesus came to earth – He came to destroy the works of the devil. What an awesome agenda!
Being God, Jesus naturally had the prerogative of judgement. And, much more, having left His glory in heaven to come offer His life as a ransom on earth, He became even more qualified to determine our fate. But He is not about judgement alone, He also became many positive things to us,
Do you feel oppressed, suppressed, repressed or restrained in any aspect of life? Then you are a good candidate for the deliverance ministry of Jesus Christ. Jesus is the answer you need for your liberation.
No doubt, if one was to describe the life of Jesus Christ, based on all our meditations on His purpose and mission on earth in the past few weeks, benevolence is an apt word to sum up His personality and activities.
Living with guilt consciousness also hinders productivity and deflates joy. It robs the mind of the mental state needed to integrate socially. Sin and guilt can defeat the purpose of one’s life. That is the reason God gave Jesus the power to set humans free from the bondage of guilt and sin by offering repentance, on one hand, and forgiveness on the other.
