Purpose: Sent to Give Understanding
He has come to give us an understanding of God and to enhance our knowledge of Him. These are essentials if we must make the most of our lives, as an appreciable knowledge and understanding of God

He came to facilitate life for humanity. He was without sin or guilt, and He had a clean slate. He was also an embodiment of strengths and abilities; nothing can hinder or stop Him. He had vast resources as well, so nothing was beyond or above Him.
Another reason Jesus came to earth, as crystallized in the passage above, is to take away our sins and make us pleasing and acceptable to God. As humans, we are fundamentally prone to sin in our thinking, action, speech, attitude and in other things we do.
The passage above captures another twin mission of our Lord Jesus Christ to humankind; He came both to redeem and purify, to qualify and equip us for the assignments God has prepared for us.
One of the purposes of Jesus Christ is to function as the Mediator between God and humans. Being of God and knowing the things of heaven, He could relate to the standards demanded by God in terms of conduct and modes.
It is true that Jesus came to the world primarily to save sinners, all of them without an exception. The apostle affirms that it is not just true but is a faithful saying that is worthy of acceptance by everyone.
