How to Position Yourself for Constant Productivity

The sower sows the word…. But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.

– Mark 4:14,20

Every word of God – nay, every word you read in the Bible – is a seed. But, unlike every other seed that produces after its kind, the fruit of the word is not limited to its kind. Rather, its productivity is situational and based on your particular need at any point in time. The harvest could be a closer walk with God, financial provision, a promotion at work, a breakthrough in key areas, healing, favour, access, protection, etc. The seed of the word can produce these much and even more fruits because it has creative power.

There is, however, a catch to reaping these harvests; the quantity and quality of fruits you produce from the word of God are dependent on the degree of your commitment to the word. In the passage above, Jesus said the seed sown on good ground is the one that bears fruit. And a good ground is described as someone who hears the word of God, and doesn’t just stop there but goes ahead to accept it.

The fact that not all good grounds produce the same quantity of fruits shows that there is more to producing fruit than just having a receptive mind. An individual factor comes into play in word-based productivity. That means the more receptive you are to the word, the more productive you will get.

And since we have also seen that the fruits that can be produced from the word are elastic and don’t follow natural laws, that means the greater the stretch of your desires, the more attention you need to accord the word. If you need more, then you must do more.

Being committed to studying, hearing, applying and obeying the Bible, or the Word of God, is therefore the secret of constant productivity.

You will succeed in Jesus’s Name!
