This is the secret of sustaining greatness, prosperity, success, wealth and other privileges of life. You have to seek God in them. It takes God to keep what God gives.
We know it takes a lot of hard work and concentration to achieve success. Also, it is a generally accepted fact that success is easier attained than maintained. Once success is achieved, it requires a lot more efforts and resources to keep and grow it than what was expended in the process of acquiring it.
In other words, by studying and meditating on the word of God every day, you can failproof every decision and choice you will make on that given day such that they are hits rather than misses. Ensure you read it every day.
There is, however, a catch to reaping these harvests; the quantity and quality of fruits you produce from the word of God are dependent on the degree of your commitment to the word. In the passage above, Jesus said the seed sown on good ground is the one that bears fruit. A good ground is described as someone who hears the word of God, and does not just stop there but goes ahead to accept it.
When we are committed to God’s word and follow His instructions for life, we are influencing the perpetual opening of His heavens upon our heads. And we cannot but enjoy the blessings that flow down with His rain. However, when we choose to disobey the counsel of God, as contained in His Word, we are by so doing shutting the heavens over our lives and limiting the rain of His blessings upon every area of our lives. It is the way we tend the farmyard of our souls that determines if we get our harvest or not.
