Our meditation today shall be on what you do in a time of peace, low activity, or an off-peak period. Asa did what was good and right in the eyes of the Lord his God, for he removed the altars of the foreign gods and the high places, and broke down the sacred pillars and cut down the wooden images.
Today is the conclusion of our meditation on principles that get you to thrive and prosper during a recession. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep….I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own”
Today we will serve the second instalment on biblical tenets for thriving in the middle of a recession. Know that the Lord, He is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
It is no news that there is yet another economic recession hitting the world, wreaking great havoc on institutions, homes and individuals across the globe. As with every period of recession, this meltdown will see many go bankrupt and under, making it difficult to bounce back
In the light of the passage above, we see how Abraham with a paltry 318 servants in his household went to war against and prevailed over four kings and their armies. There is no better definition of a formidable team than that!
We are all products of our environments. And environment is not limited to physical location alone; much more than that, it includes our mental (the places we get the information we feed our mind), spiritual (the place(s) we go to for spiritual nourishment), career (factors affecting our discipline), business (industry and location of our commercial activities), as well as emotional (relationships) factors. All of these constitute our environment.
