We have read before what some reputed names in ancient and contemporary history have said about Jesus Christ. Let’s also consider what has been said about the Holy Bible over the years. One of the sayings trumps the Bible over Google.
A relationship with Jesus is as demanding as – if not more demanding than – a relationship with a lover. This is so because if put at the centre of your dealings, a relationship with Christ will not only influence for the better all other relationships you may have, but it will also affect your general comportment.
Our meditation today shall be on the benefits of cheerfulness. And it came to pass in the month of Nisan, in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes, when wine was before him, that I took the wine and gave it to the king. Now I had never been sad in his presence before. Therefore the king said to me, “Why is your face sad, since you are not sick? This is nothing but sorrow of heart.”
The question to you is if the roll call of those who are actively engaged in the work of God in your church, locality, or operational base is being called, will your name be there? Will you be counted among those who are faithful in service or committed to the work of God?
