When we praise God, He swings into action on our behalf. The devil will do everything in its power to keep you from praising God because it knows the power of praise. The more you praise, the more you are raised.
Obviously forward is a better course than backward. Forward suggests positives, progress, improvement, increase, etc, whilst backward connotes negatives, stagnancy, regression, and reduction. Everyone desires to move forward, but the truth is that not everyone progresses. The passage above offers us a unique insight on what factor causes one to regress in life, and, in binary, how one can make progress.

Sin costs us a lot of things. Although it may seem pleasurable at the point of committing it, but the consequences of sin is usually undesirable, the harvest more grievous than the seed, and the impact of the consequences far-reaching. “Had I known…” is the common statement that follows the consequences of sin.
