The Benefits of Wisdom: Global Icon

People came from all over the world to be with Solomon and drink in the wisdom God had given him. And everyone who came brought gifts—artifacts of gold and silver, fashionable robes and gowns, the latest in weapons, exotic spices, and horses and mules—parades of visitors, year after year.. – 1 Kings 10:24-25 (The Message)

Another benefit of wisdom, similar to the hotcake effect we meditated on earlier, is high demand, which makes one a global icon.

Solomon enjoyed this rare status because of the wisdom the LORD put in his heart. This made the whole world scramble and try to outdo themselves to seek his audience and his alliance.

It is not many people in the world who attained the prestige of a global icon. Even though Solomon was not the only monarch in his time, he was the most renowned, the most revered, the most sought-after, and the most prosperous of them all. This was because he was endowed with wisdom, the God-given brand of wisdom.

Whoever is blessed with divine wisdom has the potential to rise to the height of a global icon in his or her field, or in an endeavor where God has endowed such a person with wisdom. The way a wise person can attain the status of a global icon is the same way a wisdom product can ascend to the height of a global icon. There are a good number of such unicorns around us today that can be described as products of wisdom ideas inspired by God.

When one attains such height or a wisdom-inspired offering gets elevated to this status, it opens a revolving door of wealth for the owner because the whole world would beat their path to hear out such a person or partake of their offering. That was what happened to Solomon. People from all over the world did not just line up, and book appointments years ahead, to seek his audience, they also came bearing special gifts and treasures from their localities to court his favor. Thus, they did not just enrich him the more, but they also further boosted his collection of unique assets. Only a God-given wisdom can do that to someone.
