The Benefits of Wisdom: Promotion
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding. Exalt her, and she will promote you. – Proverbs 4:7-8
The benefit of wisdom, we shall consider today, is promotion. We have already discussed the primacy of wisdom compared to all other acquisitions. That fact is further buttressed in our reference scripture today, as the Bible maintains that wisdom is ‘the principal thing’ that we all should accord a priority in getting.
The passage follows that advice with another benefit that accrues to the wise: promotion. Wisdom can promote anyone who possesses it by distinguishing them for easy identification and favor. A wise person carries himself wisely, conducts herself with grace and does their work with a flair of insight, making them quite different from the others.
This kind of lifestyle and choice are bound to set anyone apart from the crowd; hence, the promotion that comes with it.
Therefore, if you seek elevation in whatever capacity, or you desire promotion in an endeavor, you need to actively court wisdom and conduct yourself by its tenets.
You will succeed in Jesus Name!
