Wisdom makes you a hotcake

Thus Solomon’s wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the men of the East and all the wisdom of Egypt… And men of all nations, from all the kings of the earth who had heard of his wisdom, came to hear the wisdom of Solomon. – 1 Kings 4:30,34

Another benefit of wisdom which we will be dwelling on today is that it makes its possessor a hotcake. Wise people are always in high demand and sought after by those in need of counsel and solution to various life issues that only wisdom can answer.

It is important to note that those who need wisdom-driven solutions are usually not average, run-of-the-mill people. They are mostly men and women of substance. They are people of means who had an above average awareness to know in the first place that they need a superior reasoning to arrive at a solution to whatever conundrum they are grappling with.

Wisdom thus comes with an added advantage of making whoever exhibits it the target of greats and nobles. Just think about a monarch or a leader with considerable power and consider the fact that they always have a council they consult for advice. Now, every leader constitutes their council with the hope that the members are wise people who could offer them sound advice about the affairs of state or the domain they have oversight on. That is to underscore how important authorities value wisdom.

From our reference passage, we also see that Solomon’s wisdom made him such a popular figure in his days and he was highly sought after. The Bible records that all the kings of other nations sent ambassadors just to listen to him (1 Kings 4:30,34, NLT). Only wisdom can earn someone this kind of renown that leaders and rulers of nation would be competing to hold court with him.

This was just one of the many privileges that Solomon enjoyed on account of his wisdom. It can be yours as well.

You Will Succeed in Jesus Name!
